I also would like to see the natural rising of dead from large battles, to given something of a buffer zone between players and kingdoms. It'd also give a cool feel, a middle zone becoming an infested no-mans land filled with undead due to the constant warfare.
Just to chime in, i believe it would be interesting to have undead to appear after a major battle. The reason they appear could be because some distrubed their graves, maybe your kingdom just left their bodies on the battle field, or maybe you have a necromancer using them to attack your kingdom. A lot of cool ideas that could be had with it.
